OKLAHOMA CITY – State Senator Mark Allen has been selected this week by incoming Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat to chair the Senate Energy Committee and serve as Vice Chair of the Senate Rules Committee for the 57th legislature.
Allen said he’s ready to get to work as the next legislative session approaches. In addition to his committee leadership responsibilities, he will also serve on the Agriculture and Wildlife and the Transportation Committees. Additionally, he will serve as a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Transportation Committee.
“We are going into a new legislative session and I am eager to get started on another productive year,” said Allen. “I’m ready to focus on common sense solutions that will help move Oklahoma forward for years to come.”
Members will return to the Senate for an organizational day on January 8, 2019, and the 2019 session will formally begin on February 4.
