A contract was awarded this month for road repairs in LeFlore County, Sen. Mark Allen and Rep. R.C. Pruett recently announced.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project involves installing a concrete barrier wall along US-259, beginning just over three miles south of SH-63 extending south.
Sen. Allen (R- Spiro) said the State Transportation Commission awarded just over a $1 million contract on the project to the Manhattan Road & Bridge Company. The Tulsa company was the lowest of two bidders for the job, said Rep. Pruett (D- Antlers).
Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within five months.
