OKLAHOMA CITY – Sallisaw High School junior James Limbaugh shined at the State Capitol with his dedication and hard work, serving as a Senate page for Senator Mark Allen. Limbaugh was selected to serve as a Senate page for Allen during the week of March 27-30, 2017.
“The life of a page is a hectic and exciting one,” said Limbaugh. “Getting to learn the ropes of the Senate firsthand is an extraordinary experience. Throughout the week I have able to listen to some great tips about being a senator. I overheard such things as, ‘It costs to be the boss,’ and, ‘If you wanna be the boss, you gotta think like the boss.’ I am so thankful for all of the Senators’ hospitality. I hope I will be able to serve as a page again in the future.”
Limbaugh is the son of Paula Harraway of Sallisaw.
“James conducted himself in a manner to prove the worthiness of his selection. He served with distinction, bringing honor not only upon the State Senate, but also his family, school and hometown,” said Allen. “It was a real pleasure to work with him. I look forward to following his future with great interest.”
