A local student shined at the State Capitol with her dedication and hard work, serving as Senate page for my office this past week. Erin Edwards, senior at Muldrow High School, was selected to serve as Senate page during the week of March 24 through 27, 2014.
The Senate Page Program allows young Oklahomans to see legislators at work and gives them insight into how state government operates and how laws are passed. It was an honor to work with Erin. It’s clear she is an exceptional young person with a passion to be involved in several activities, and I was proud to have her serve.
Erin is the daughter of Darryl and Shannon Edwards of Muldrow, OK. Coincidentally, my office had scheduled a meeting with Clean Line Energy this week, and Erin was able to attend that meeting, research pertinent information, and represent her family’s concerns as constituents in the district.
Erin conducted herself in a manner to prove the worthiness of her selection. She served with distinction, bringing honor not only upon the State Senate, but also her family, school and home town.
Until next time,
Senator Mark Allen
